Refund & Cancellation Policy

Megiddo is a service business. We design, install, and deliver audio systems and live entertainment, not physical goods. This policy covers deposits, rescheduling, and cancellations rather than product returns.

Draft: for legal review. The terms below are realistic placeholders written to match standard practice for AV/events businesses in Nigeria. Replace the highlighted figures with Megiddo’s actual terms, and have this reviewed before publishing live.

1. Deposits

A deposit of [XX%] of the total project or booking value is required to confirm and commence any engagement. Work does not begin, and a date is not held, until the deposit is received.

Deposits are [non-refundable / refundable minus a XX% processing fee] once paid, except where Megiddo is unable to deliver the agreed scope through no fault of the client.

2. Cancellations: Sound Engineering Projects

For installation, acoustic treatment, and system design engagements:

  • Cancellations made more than [XX days] before the scheduled start date: deposit refundable minus costs already committed.
  • Cancellations made within [XX days] of the scheduled start date: deposit is forfeited.
  • Work already completed or materials already procured at the time of cancellation are billed in full.

3. Cancellations: Entertainment Bookings

For live band performances, DJ/MC, PA systems for events, and show curation:

  • Cancellations made more than [30 days] before the event date: deposit refundable minus a [XX%] administrative fee.
  • Cancellations made within [14 days] of the event date: deposit is forfeited, as performers, crew, and equipment are held for the date.
  • Cancellations within [72 hours] of the event: full booking fee applies.

4. Rescheduling

A single reschedule request made at least [XX days] before the original date is accommodated at no extra charge, subject to crew and equipment availability on the new date. Repeated or late-notice rescheduling may incur a [XX] rebooking fee.

5. Refunds for Megiddo-caused delays or non-delivery

If Megiddo is unable to deliver the agreed scope for reasons within our control, the client is entitled to a full refund of amounts paid for work not delivered, or a credit toward a future engagement, at the client’s choice.

6. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or non-performance caused by events outside reasonable control, including power/grid failures, extreme weather, civil disruption, or government restrictions. In such cases, we work with the client in good faith to reschedule rather than cancel outright.

7. How to request a cancellation, reschedule, or refund

Contact us directly at megiddosoundent@gmail.com or WhatsApp, quoting your project or booking reference. We aim to respond within one business day.

This policy was last drafted September 2026 and has not yet been through legal review.
